Meagan Duhamel suspended by Skate Canada
The two-week suspension follows a complaint by another coach.
Two-time world pairs champion and coach Meagan Duhamel has been suspended by Skate Canada for two weeks for “bullying and harassment” of another coach.
The two-week suspension follows a complaint filed by another coach through Skate Canada’s Skate-Safe reporting system in November 2025.

Meagan Duhamel told Broken Ice: “I’m aware of a recent disciplinary outcome that has been made public. I acknowledge and take responsibility for my reaction. I also believe deeply in accountability, fairness and athlete safety.”
Her lawyers have advised her not to comment further on the details of the complaint.
However, sources close to the situation told Broken Ice the complaint relates to an on-ice confrontation at Skate Oakville in the fall of 2025, where Duhamel confronted another coach over an alleged inappropriate relationship involving her husband — who was also coaching at Skate Oakville at the time. Skaters and parents were present during the incident.
Following the incident, Skate Oakville sent an email to members acknowledging the situation and asking members to refrain from discussing it publicly.
The coach confronted by Duhamel later filed the complaint through Skate Canada’s Skate-Safe reporting system.
According to the decision, Duhamel’s conduct amounted to “psychological maltreatment within the meaning of the UCCMS” and was therefore deemed a breach. The UCCMS, is The Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport in Canada. The code is used to address and investigate abuse, harassment, bullying and other misconduct in federally funded sport.
Skate-Safe uses independent investigators to examine and investigate complaints and provide findings to Skate-Safe representatives, who then determine the appropriate disciplinary action — in this case, a two-week “suspension of membership.”
