Introducing Broken Ice: On The Right Edge
Investigative journalism often focuses on what went wrong. But I also believe it’s important to highlight the people asking better questions, sharing new ideas, and working toward solutions.
That’s why I created Broken Ice: On The Right Edge.
This new video interview series features in-depth conversations with athletes, coaches, researchers, and advocates inspiring positive change in figure skating and elite sport—from mental health and athlete wellbeing to SafeSport, coaching, sport parenting, and more.
Here’s a little preview:
Thanks to the generosity of a supporter who wishes to remain anonymous, every interview in the Broken Ice: On The Right Edge summer series will be freely accesible to everyone, with no paywall or subscription required. Their donation reflects a shared belief that these conversations should be accessible to the entire sport community.
Stay tuned, the first interview will be published next week.
Know someone making an impact in sport? A coach creating a healthier training environment, an athlete advocating for change, a volunteer who has dedicated years to the sport, or even the local Zamboni driver who always goes the extra mile to make the rink a welcoming place.
I’d love to hear their story. Send me a message at tips@brokenice.ca
